ABOUT THE PROGRAM

My BIG Program is a 11 week education program designed to help your small business grow. BIG stands for Businesses Investing in Growth. Our Program Facilitator will lead a select group of business owners through a series of LIVE learning modules, requiring you to dig deep into your business finance & operations, contracting, marketing, human resources and more. In the end, program participants walk away with an actionable business plan, positioned to take your company to the next level.

    When & Where

    The 2017 Program Kickoff and Class #1 begins October 2. Class meets every other Monday from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Uptown Charlotte.

    How it Works

    The My BIG Program curriculum is organized into five unique learning modules – each with three phases: PRE class work, IN class work and POST class work. Each phase incorporates interaction with your assigned peer group to discuss the dynamics of the coursework.

    Program Fees

    Tuition for CMBCC Members is $250. Non-members pay $500 (which includes a 1-year CMBCC Membership). Your tuition covers in-class learning modules & online webinars, participant workbook and other program materials.

    Who Can Apply

    Companies in any industry of focus that have been in business for at least 3 years and that had a minimum of $150,000 in annual revenue in 2016 can apply.

    Who Can Attend

    Program Participants must be a business owner or a member of your companyai??i??s executive leadership team. Only one person per company may attend the in-class modules.

2017 DATES AND TOPICS:

My BIG Program was developed to facilitate an application-based learning experience with actionable results for small business owners. Participants are required to attend all 5 modules to receive a certificate of completion.

Program Kick-off will be held at Well Fargo Corporate Center.
In Business Strategies for Growth, you will examine and define your customer focus and work to identify the right brand strategy. You will also develop and practice or hone an Executive Value Pitch that best represents your company.
Hone your financial acumen and learn to mitigate risk by accurately reading financial statements, analyzing important ratios and understanding which actions you can take to protect your bottom line.
Agreements and Partnerships offers a crash course in Contracting 101 where you will learn about commercial, operational and legal aspects and key terms & conditions to watch out for when negotiating your best deals.
In Resource Management & External Stakeholders, our experienced facilitators will show you how to maximize customer or client intelligence and guide you through specific resource management tactics for business success.
In Marketing for Growth, you will strategize, plan and execute an effective marketing approach to drive business growth. You will also develop an Executive Communication Plan.
Program Graduation will be held at Well Fargo Corporate Center.
